Teach Me, Break My Ego_
Today at 1:59 am I released two tracks that capture the blissful sensation of music-induced ego death and the security and freedom cultivated by the music community. “Teach Me,” represents the relinquishment of the self to the people in one’s immediate proximity, surrendering control to the collective mind. “Break My Ego_” directly embodies the deliberate shedding of one’s personal worries and woes upon entering a shared musical space. These are powerful feelings that carry a lot of personal significance in my own journey. I wanted to draw attention to the magic of music and its community and celebrate the opportunity we have to share these experiences with each other.
I.e. Music is cool. Concerts are freedom. Community is what makes us whole.
Also some really cool sound design in these. I challenged myself to prioritize simplicity in arrangement and be deliberate with each sound design decision.
